Code converter Pelco-D to Pelco-P and Pelco-P to Pelco-D
The converter is a microprocessor device which converts Pelco-D protocol to Pelco-P or Pelco-P
protocol to Pelco-D. This enables integration of one manufacturer PTZ cameras with DVRs or IP servers
from other manufacturers. It can be used in situations when needs to connect the camera with Pelco-D to
device that supports only Pelco-P - or vice versa.
The CONV-1G does detect protocol type and make conversion automatically. If coming Pelco-D
commands on input, on the output will be send Pelco-P commands and vice versa.
Version no.2 has a separately adjustable transmission rate for the RS-485 input/output, which
further expands its capabilities.

1. Connecting structure

The protocol converter is connected between keyboard and PTZ cameras and need 9~24V DC or AC
power supply
Pelco-D or Pelco-P
control device

2. Terminal block

LED1 – receive data
LED2 – conversion and transmission data
3. Podłączenie i uruchomienie
Please pay attention to correct polarity of RS-485 interface.
Correct working of converter can be determined by LED observing. If device is correct configured and connected,
at the time of trying to control from desktop, both LEDs should blink.
