Install Guide for
QSH-P2T
This Harness Kit is compatible with most motorcycles which have 1 or 2 ignition coils with
spade terminals, and the common wire of the coils is +12V (not ground). For this reason, it
is NOT suitable for motorcycles with CDI ignition.
To check compatibility, please use the Product Advisor on our website.
These instructions are applicable to a wide range of motorcycles and describe the main
install steps needed for a successful installation.
You can also find motorcycle specific Supplementary Manuals on our website. Please visit:

Disclaimer: Do not attempt to install the product if you don't have basic mechanical skills.
HealTech Electronics Ltd. and its distributors shall not be liable for any loss or damage
caused by improper installation. If in doubt, please consult with your dealer.
1. Gain access to the IGNITION COILS.
Normally this involves the following:
- Remove the seat
- Lift up or remove the fuel tank
2. Make the connections as per the diagram at the back side.
Use a voltmeter or the bike's wiring diagram to determine the coil positive
and negative terminals.
Do NOT install the kit until you are sure which are the coil + and –
terminals.
It has no relevance which coil you select as the #1.
If the bike has 1 ignition coil, isolate one green wire terminal with tape.
3. Connect the QSH White wire to the NEGATIVE terminal wire of the coil.
Use the Red wire tap connector supplied.
Usage: Place unstripped run wire (negative terminal wire) inside run
channel. Close side cover until latched. Insert unstripped tap wire
(QSH White wire) completely and check its position. Insert the blade
(u-contact) and press down by finger pressure. Then, depress the u-
contact with pliers. Close hinged top cover until latched. Remove the
excess gel around the connector with dry cloth.
4. Neatly route the QSH harness from the coils to the place where you
wish to mount the unit, along the frame.
Typically it is under the rider's seat, but after the initial tests the unit can be
hidden anywhere. (No need to access the module for programming, you can
change settings any time wirelessly.)
Do not route the harness very close to the exhaust pipe or cylinder head.
Do not place the module close to hot surfaces, or in direct contact with
other modules, like the bikes' ECU.

5. Connect the QSH black wire terminal to a good chassis ground.
When removing the bolt, clean the surface. We recommend not to use the
battery negative terminal, because the battery is removed time to time.
Do not use the cylinder head bolts but a good chassis ground such as used
by the bike's main ground terminal.
6. Connect the iQSE module to the 4-pole QSH harness connector.
Make sure it clicks into place.
Note: If you ever have to disconnect the 4-pole connector, you must lift up
the locking latch which is above the small plug, and gently separate the
connectors. You may need to use a small flathead screwdriver as the seals
make a tight fit. Do NOT pull on the wires.
7. Use the cable ties supplied to secure the QSH harness.
Do not over tighten to avoid damaging the cable.
8. Put the fuel tank back, then check whether everything is installed and
working properly:
- Select Neutral, have the engine stop switch in RUN position
and turn the ignition ON.
The iQSE LED light should light up in GREEN color then change to
solid RED. This confirms that the QSH harness is installed properly.
- Start the engine and let it idle.
The engine should start and run normally.
The iQSE LED light should change to a solid GREEN color.
If the test fails, disconnect the terminals and the 4-pole connector and
check whether the connector pins are bent or pushed out of position. Spray
some WD40 into the plug and terminals. Also check the black wire terminal
connection.
If the problem persists (or if you experience a problem later) disconnect
the iQSE module and connect the supplied Jumper-plug to the 4-pole
QSH wiring harness connector. Check whether the engine works normally
with the Jumper-plug. If not, the possible causes:
- Bank angle sensor is not in place.
- Some connectors (e.g. from the fuel tank) may not be reconnected.
- A connector pin does not make contact (bent or loose).
- QSH harness is damaged or not suitable for your bike.
9. Mount the iQSE module with the supplied Velcro strip.
Using the Velcro strip is VERY important to minimize vibrations and cable
stress at the unit, do not skip this step.
10. Install the QSE Sensor as per the document supplied.
11. When the installation is complete, refer to the User's Guide for setup
instructions.
