Notes on Adjustment
l
Perform adjustment in service mode.
After adjustment, be sure to release service
mode.
Perform adjustments in the order given.
Use the disc (YEDS-I 8, Part No. 3-702-10l -Ol )
only when so indicated.
Before Adjustment
Put the set into service mode and perform the
following checks, Repair if there are any problems.
o Sled Motor Check
1
Press ) key -+ 1 ç"t.
2. PresslN, K{ keys and confirm that tlre'FOP
moves smoothly from the innermost to outer-
most circumference and back smoothly and
with no catching or abnormal noises.
>> : FOP moves to the outer circumference

: FOP moves to the inner circumference

Focus Search Check
l.
Press ) key. (Focus search operation is per-
formed continuously.)
2.
Look at the FOP objective lens and confirm
that it moves up and down smoothly, with no
catching or abnormal noises.
3.
Press'I key.
Confirm that focus search operation stops. If it
does not, press I key again longer,
How to Put the Set into Servicê Mode
l. Short-circuit following portions on the CD control
board.
2. Turn the POWER on.

VCO Adjustment
Adjustm€nt Procedure:
l. Short-cfcuit @ portion on CD main board.
2. Adjust with RV703 so that the reading on
frequency counter becomes 4.3218 MHz.
3. Release the short-circuit @ portion.
