Installation Instructions:
EMG Model: B-30 and B-64 Bass Equalizers
Notes about Equalizers:
Glancing at the Frequency response curves below shows that they are remarkably similar
but in reality they are not. As you can see the Low Frequency (Blue) curves and the High Frequency
(Red) curves are very different. The B-30 has a much broader effect on low frequencies and
"creeps"into the mid-range frequency region
The Mid-range frequency response (Green) on both units is similar because mid-range
frequencies when boosted on a bass guitar can get rather mean. The mid-range frequency
equalizer is usually used to cut the amountof mid-range. Both equalizers are designed to
limit the amount of overall gain loss when cutting the mid-range frequency region.
The B30 and B64 Controls are easily installed by using the connector cables supplied.
Diagram #1 shows the cables connected. This 5-pin layout is the same
for all EMG Accessories, so they can be interchanged.
