Display panel symbols/messages

The following symbols/messages may
appear on your recorder display:
00:00
Multifunction display/text line
– Title/track number
– Total/elapsed/remaining title/track
time
– Disc/title name
– Error or warning messages
– Additional information regarding the
disc
– TV channel number or source of
video
– Clock (This is displayed in Standby
mode).
– TV programme title
PRO SCAN
The video output is in progressive scan
quality.
X TIMER
A timer recording has been programmed
or is active.
BLOCKED
The disc tray cannot be opened or closed
due to some mechanical obstruction.
BROWSER
The recorder is currently in media
browser mode.
CLOSING
Disc tray is closing.
COMPATIBLE
The recorder is busy making changes to
make the disc DVD-compatible.

COPY PROTECT
The DVD/video cassette you are trying
to copy is copy-protected.
CREATING MENU
After the fi rst recording has been
successfully complete on a new disc, the
menu structure is created.
DISC ERR
An error occurred when writing the title.
If this happens often, clean the disc or use
a new one.
DISC FULL
Disc is full. There is no storage space for
new recordings.
DISC WARNING
An error occurred when recording from
external device. The recording continues
but the error will be skipped.
EMPTY DISC
Inserted disc is new or has been
completely erased (no recordings
present).
FREE TITLE
An empty title was selected.
FINALIZING DISC
The DVD±R disc is being fi nalised.
INFO DVD
Information on the inserted DVD is
displayed on the TV.
INSTALL
After the automatic channel search, the
menu for setting the time/date appears
on the TV.
IS TV ON?
The recorder is currently in the fi rst
installation mode. Turn on your TV and
read the chapter 'Installation and Set-up'
in the user manual.
