the beginning of the display grid.

track in the sequence displayed on the grid. The track number
display will change appropriately.

a track while playing (the track number will not change).
Time display/Display mode
By default, this displays the time elapsed since the beginning of
the current track. It can also display:
• time remaining in the current track
• time elapsed since the beginning of the CD
• time remaining in the entire CD
Selecting the Time Display Mode button will cycle through
these options. The symbol on the button changes to indicate
the current mode.
Shuffle play
The shuffle play option allows you to randomize the order in
which you listen to the tracks on a CD, for listening variety.
When you select this button, a new track order is generated
and then displayed on the track display grid at the upper right
of the screen. You can select the button repeatedly to
"reshuffle" for different orders.
You can also use the grid to program exactly the tracks you
want to hear, in a specific order. Simply select or deselect
individual tracks on the grid while they are highlighted. Or
select a track block on the grid and enter a track number using
the number keys on the keyboard. (Numbers larger than the
number of tracks on the disk will not be accepted.)
