Chapter 7 Use of the battery

This section deals with the charging method, battery maintenance, safety issues and battery spec-
ifications.
To ensure your own safety and that of others and to maximize the battery life and improve battery
performance, maintain and use the battery as outlined below.
7.1 Low battery level
If the battery level LED changes from green to yellow and flashes, the battery level is low and the
hoverboard no longer has enough power for normal use. Stop riding, otherwise this could cause
instability and shorten the life of the battery.
Do not use the battery in the following cases:
There is a strange or overheating smell.
The battery contains dangerous substances; do not dismantle the battery.
Only use the charger provided for charging the Hoverboard
Never charge over-depleted lithium batteries; over-depleted batteries pose potential safety risks
and should be discarded.
7.2 Battery charging steps
Make sure that the port where the cable to charge the bacteria is connected is dry.
Open the cover of the charger located on the back of the hoverboard.
Insert one end of the charger into the mains power supply (220V; 50/60 Hz), make sure the green
LED lights up and then insert the other end into the hoverboard.
When the red LED on the charger lights up, charging is normal; if the red LED does not light up,
check that the cables are connected correctly.
When the charger LED changes from red to green, charging is complete. Unplug the charger;
charging too long may shorten the life of the battery.
Keep the charging environment clean and dry.
Do not charge the battery if the charging port is wet.
7.3 Extreme temperatures
To optimise the running of the hoverboard, the battery should be kept within the temperature range
indicated in the battery specifications.
The battery should be kept in the recommended range before and during charging. Charging ef-
ficiency is at its maximum in the recommended range, while extreme temperatures will increase
charging time or even cause charging failure.
Do not use the hoverboard in the following cases:
1. If the battery temperature reaches 60°C while the hoverboard is running, the alarm will sound
and the hoverboard will slow down; if the temperature reaches 70°C, the hoverboard will turn off
