Cutting Hints

The Model 226 is designed to provide smooth cuts
using the procedure previously outlined. However, for
applications where precise cuts are required, the fol-
lowing hints are recommended:
1. Follow the steps 1, 2, and 3 previously illustrated.
2. Engage the ratchet and tighten until cutter wheels
make indentations onto pipe.
3. Slightly loosen feedscrew knob and rotate the pipe or
chain slightly. Retighten the feedscrew to make an-
other set of wheel indentations.
4. Repeat the process as necessary to create a series
of indentations around the pipe.
5. Make certain the wheels remain on the indentations
previously formed, then tighten the ratchet and com-
plete the cut.
