UHF Band In-ear Monitoring System
Fig. 2: Connecting the personal receivers to the charging circuit.
Up to 5 personal receivers may be charged at the same time.
Charging current is supplied via an external power supply.
PRECAUTIONS:
* AVOID EXTREMELY DIRTY OR DUSTY ENVIRONMENTS.
* AVOID AREAS WHERE THERE IS EXTREMELY HIGH HUMIDITY.
* TWO OR MORE WIRELESS MICROPHONES (HANDHELD AND/OR LAVALIER) WHICH
TRANSMIT AT THE SAME FREQUENCY CAN NOT BE USED IN THE SAME LOCATION AS
THIS WILL CAUSE INTERFERENCE IN THE PERSONAL IN-EAR MONITOR.

Troubleshooting:

1. Signal dropouts and noise may be suddenly encountered by interruption from outside if there is too
long a distance between microphone and receiver, or battery power is low. In such a case, adjust
receiver antenna or change battery.
2. Do not drop the in-ear monitor.
3. Remove the battery from in-ear monitor if not in use for a long time. This will prevent damage that
a defective "leaking" battery may cause.

System Examples
The C 8856A units receive signal directly from C 8872C or C 8875C transmitters (fig. 3 & 4). This is
especially useful for tour guides requiring mobile communication with a group of people. Alternatively,
the C 8856A units receive signal from C 8854 desktop transmitter (fig 5 & 6). This is useful for fixed
installations utilising recorded music or vocal tracks. Additional transmitters may be set up on separate
frequencies allowing multiple language soundtracks for art galleries, museums, tourist venues etc.
See table 1 for information on selecting frequency channels.
