Use the Languages & input settings to select the language
for the text on your phone and for configuring the onscreen
keyboard. You can also configure voice input settings and the
pointer speed.

Gboard
The Gboard settings apply to the onscreen keyboard
that is included with your phone. The correction and
capitalization features affect only the English version of
the keyboard.

Google voice typing
Google voice typing is free speech-to-text capabilities
which can let you input words by talking instead of typing
by hand.
Tap the microphone icon on the on-screen keyboard to
start Voice Typing.

Enable virtual keyboard on screen while physical keyboard
is active.
Keyboard shortcuts helper
View the available keyboard shortcuts.
Input assistance
Spell checker
Mark the checkbox to enable the system to show
suggested words.
Autofill service
Select an app which uses what's on your screen to
determine what can be autofilled.
Personal dictionary
Open a list of the words you've added to the dictionary.
Tap a word to edit or delete it. Tap the add button
add a word.
Pointer speed
Select how fast the pointer/mouse should scroll when you
connect the phone to a trackpad or mouse accessory.
Text-to-speech settings
Preferred engine
Choose a preferred text-to-speech engine, tap Settings
to show more choices for each engine.
