It is imperative that Human Touch
products are repaired in a manner that ensures product safety and regulatory compliance and that is fully consistent with the practices used

during the manufacturing process. Therefore, Human Touch requires that all product repairs are performed using only factory-new parts and in accordance with these repair
instructions. Failure to adhere to these instructions voids the product warranty and releases Human Touch from all liability for injury or product damage resulting from the repair.
Tools Required: two small pliers, small Phillips screwdriver, small flathead screwdriver NOTE: SAVE ALL SCREWS FOR USE DURING REASSEMBLY.
REMOVING THE FOOTREST CABLE FROM THE HANDLE
1. Use both hands to pull the right-hand side panel off the chair.
2. Locate the footrest cable (Fig.1).
3. Scrape off the hot glue from the top of the handle where the cable comes through the handle (Fig.2).
NOTE: Some chairs may secure the cable to the handle using a small metal clip. In this case, use
a flat-head screwdriver to remove the clip.
4. Using two pliers, loosen the two nuts on either side of the black bracket until the cable is loose enough
to pull out from the bracket (Fig.3). NOTE: Loosen the upper nut completely.
5. Pull the able down to detach the barrel from the bracket.
6. Push the cable up, so the barrel on the end of the cable is above the handle.
7. Rotate the barrel 90 degrees so it will fit through the slot on the handle, then pull the cable through the handle.
8. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the cable guides underneath the chair, freeing the cables.
