Building T he F rame:
1. Find a s mooth, f lat a rea t o l ayout a ll o f t he c omponents a nd b uild y our f rame. B e s ure t o p rotect t he t ubes f rom s cratches d uring f rame
construction b y l aying d own b lankets, r ags, o r p acking w rappers.
2. Insert a s plice s leeve ( E ) 2 i nches i nto t he t op e nd o f b oth t he l eft s ide t ube ( B) a nd t he r ight s ide t ube ( C). I f t he s plice s leeve i s t oo t ight
to i nsert b y h and, g ently t ap w ith a h ammer. T he t op e nd o f t he s ide t ubes c an b e i dentified b y t he s mall p ilot h ole o n t he s ide. B e s ure
that t he s lot i n t he s plice s leeve i s n ot p ositioned o ver t he p ilot h ole.
3. Lock t he s plice s leeves ( E) i n p osition b y d riving a # 8 s crew ( G) t hrough t he p ilot h ole i n t he s ide t ubes ( B) & ( C) a nd i nto t he s plice s leeve.
Use a n e lectric d rill a nd # 2 s quare d rive b it t o a ttach t he s crews. I f y ou h ave d ifficulty d riving t he s crews, u se a 9 /64" b it t o d rill a p ilot
hole t hrough t he s leeve.
4. Attach a s plice s leeve ( F) t o t he s ide o f e ach s ide t ube ( B) & ( C) u sing t wo # 10 s crews ( H). T he s crews w ill r un t hrough t he c hase h oles i n
the s plice s leeves a nd i nto t he p ilot h oles i n t he s ide t ubes. U se a n e lectric d rill a nd # 2 s quare d rive b it t o a ttach t he s crews.
5. On y our f lat s urface, l ay t he s ide t ubes ( B) & ( C) p arallel t o o ne a nother a nd a bout 4 f eet a part w ith t he s plice s leeves ( F) f acing o ne
another a nd t he p ilot h oles f acing u pward.
6. Carefully s lide t he e nds o f t he b ottom t ube ( D) o ver e ach s plice s leeve ( F). B e s ure t hat t he s mall p ilot h oles i n t he b ottom t ube a re n ot
lined-­‐up o ver t he s lot i n t he s plice s leeves.
7. Secure t he b ottom t ube ( D) i n p osition w ith a # 8 s crew ( G) i nserted t hrough t he p ilot h ole a nd i nto e ach o f t he s plice s leeves ( F). I f y ou
have d ifficulty d riving t he s crews, u se a 9 /64" b it t o d rill a p ilot h ole t hrough t he s leeves.
