Safety
General safety instructions
The product may be used by children of 8 years and above and by persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of experience
and knowledge provided they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
Never let children play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance
must not be performed by children without adult supervision.
Never use the product if it, its mains lead or plug is damaged in any way.
The product should not be used if it is in any way damaged or
malfunctioning.
The product must not be taken apart or modified.
The product must only be repaired by qualified service technicians using
original spare parts.
Product specific safety instructions
Warning
The soldering tip and any metal parts of the product will become very hot
during use and will burn you if touched. Rinse any burn with cold water and
keep it under running water for some time.
Do not touch the soldering tip while it is hot.
The soldering iron must always be placed onto the support when it is hot and
not being used.
Do not leave the product unsupervised when it is connected to an electrical
socket or before it has cooled.
Be careful when using a soldering iron/gun close to combustible materials.
Never cover the product when it is connected to an electrical socket or
before it has cooled.
Always disconnect the mains lead from the wall socket when you have
finished work or when the product is not being used.
Important
Let the product cool completely before putting it away for storage.
Do not keep the soldering tip on the same spot for a long time.
Never use the product in an explosive atmosphere.
Always use the product on a heat-resistant surface.

Assembly
Soldering iron (C)
1.
Undo the set screw (C1).
2.
Insert the soldering tip (C2) to the bottom of
the tip holder.
3.
Tighten the set screw.
Soldering gun (E)
1.
Undo the set screws (E2).
2.
Insert the soldering tip (E2) to the bottom of
the tip holders.
3.
Tighten the set screws.
Instructions for use
Soldering iron
1.
Unfold the support (A) and place it onto a flat
heat-resistant surface. Rest the soldering iron
on the support.
2.
Plug in the soldering iron and wait for it to reach working temperature
(3–5 minutes).
3.
Make sure that the contact surfaces you are planning to work on are clean.
4.
Melt a little solder (G) onto the tip.
5.
Hold the tip of the soldering iron gently against the contact surfaces to heat
them up.
6.
Melt a sufficient amount of solder onto the heated surfaces.
7.
Let the soldered joint cool down.
8.
Clean the tip of the soldering iron while it is still hot using a soldering sponge.
9.
Unplug the soldering iron from the wall socket and let it cool on the support.
Soldering gun
Important
In order to prolong the service life of the soldering gun we recommend that you
limit the time that you pull the power trigger to max 12 seconds, followed by
a pause of at least 48 seconds before pulling it again.
1.
Place the soldering gun on a heat-resistant surface, ensuring that the tip is
clear of any surrounding surfaces.
2.
Plug the soldering gun into a wall socket, the gun will be ready for use
straight away.
3.
Make sure that the contact surfaces you are planning to work on are clean.
4.
Pull the power trigger and melt a little solder onto the tip.
5.
Hold the tip of the soldering gun gently against the surfaces to be joined and
pull the trigger. Make sure that the surfaces get hot.
6.
Melt a sufficient amount of solder onto the heated surfaces.
7.
Let the soldered joint cool down.
8.
Clean the tip of the soldering gun while it is still hot using a soldering sponge.
9.
Unplug the soldering gun from the wall socket and let it cool properly.
Accessories
Use the solder sucker (B), soldering stand (D) and soldering tool (F) as and when
required.
Care and maintenance
Unplug the mains lead from the wall socket before cleaning.
Clean the product using a damp cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents, never
solvents or corrosive chemicals.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that this product should not be disposed
of with general household waste. This applies throughout
the entire EU. In order to prevent any harm to the environment
or health hazards caused by incorrect waste disposal,
the product must be handed in for recycling so that the material
can be disposed of in a responsible manner. When recycling
the product, take it to your local collection facility or contact
the place of purchase. They will ensure that the product is
disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
