CUBESCAN BIOCON 500 – QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE
KEY FUNCTIONS
POWER
 Press the PWR key (Bottom Left key on the scanner) and the unit will power on, displaying the home
screen on the LCD screen.
 After 7 minutes of inactivity (this may vary and can be adjusted in device settings), the system will
automatically turn off.
GENDER SELECT
 On the home screen, press the GEN key (Left key) to select patient gender.
 On the right side of the LCD, either the male or female icon will be displayed.
Important – For females who have had a hysterectomy, select the male setting.
PROBE PREPARATION
 Apply gel.
 Position the probe according to the body-shaped picture on the side of the probe. The scan button
should be on patient's right hand side.
 Place the probe above the pubic bone, tilt the probe around 60 degrees pointing at the base of the
spine, and press the probe slightly into the abdomen.
* The location of the bladder might differ according to the individual, the residual urine etc.
