5.6. Connection of tube for oil sampling for VUC

Preparation for oil sampling is done at the transformer
workshop as part of the tap-changer installation.
– The oil valve (see Fig. 45) should be removed and re-
connected at the end of the draining tube at operable
ground level.

Oil valve
– The tube, through which oil samples are taken, must be
connected to a sample pipe, see Fig. 47. The tube shall be
of ½ inch.
– Information regarding the flanges, view A-A and view B-B,
see Fig. 46.
