SET UP INSTRUCTIONS
3767 – 79" CALABRIA FOUNTAIN
Open bag containing the pump kit P46012. In the kit you will find:
1 - 40460 (460 gallon per hour pump)
1 - 48" long piece of 3/4" clear tubing
1 - 6" long piece of 1/2" kink free tubing
1. Find the pedestal-pump house and position it on a firm and level surface where the fountain will remain. The opening
in the pedestal-pump house should face toward back of fountain. Find the fountain pedestal and carefully position it on
the pedestal-pump house. On a padded surface, place the largest shell near the fountain pedestal.
2. Find the pump and the rubber stopper. Place pump in the center of the large shell and run the plug end of the power
cord down the PVC pipe located in the pump house in the center of the shell. Retrieve the power cord from under shell.
3. Run the power cord down the hole that is through the pedestal and down into the pedestal pump house. Retrieve the
power cord from pedestal pump house and out the opening in the pedestal pump house. Place the largest shell on the
pedestal. While placing the shell on the pedestal carefully pull the remainder of the power cord until all is hidden inside
the fountain. Slip the rubber stopper onto the power cord about 20" from the pump. Insert the rubber stopper snugly into
the PVC pipe.
4. Position the largest shell on pedestal and level. To level shell, place level on top rim of the pump house in the center
of shell and level in all directions. Shim as needed.
5. Find the 3/4" clear tubing 48" long and attach one end onto the outlet side of the pump with the hose clamp.
6. Find the spacer and run the 3/4" clear tubing up thru the hole in the center of the spacer. Position the spacer on top of
the larger shell and level in all directions.
7. Find the second shell and run the 3/4" clear tubing up thru the hole in the center housing of the shell. Position this
shell on top of the spacer and level. To level shell, place level on the top rim of the center housing in center of shell and
level in all directions. Cut the 3/4" clear tubing 1 1/2" below the top surface of the center housing in the second shell.
8. Find the 3/4" X 1/2" plastic tee, the 1/2" plastic ell and the 1/2" kink free tubing. Attach one end of the 1/2" kink free
tubing onto the middle connection on the 3/4" X 1/2" plastic tee. Attach the 1/2" plastic ell onto the opposite end of the
1/2" kink free tubing. Attach an end connection on 3/4" X 1/2" plastic tee onto the end 3/4" clear tubing located in the
center of the second shell. Attach the remainder of the 3/4" clear tubing onto the opposite end connection of the 3/4" X
1/2" plastic tee.
9. Find the third shell and run the 3/4" clear tubing up thru the hole in the center housing of the shell. Place the 1/2" kink
free tubing in the groove located in the bottom of the third shell with the elbow on the outside of the center housing
pointing down. Position this shell on top of the second shell and level. To level shell, place level on the top rim of the
center housing in center of shell and level in all directions. Check to make sure that the pump is seated on the floor of the
pump house in the large shell. Trim the 3/4" clear tubing 5" above the top surface of the center housing of the third shell.
10. Find the putty tape. Wrap the putty tape around the 3/4" clear tubing on its self just above PVC pipe in the top shell.
Push the putty tape down into the PVC pipe all around the 3/4" clear tubing. You want to create watertight seal so use
all of the putty tape. Find the finial. Slip the finial onto the 3/4" clear tubing and position the finial on top of fountain.
