- Page 3 The Manual This manual provides instruction for the DIN-rail mounting kit. The manual provides information on the following Installation requirements OVERVIEW The mounting kit includes (1) 6" length of DIN-rail, (4) mounting clips, and this instruction sheet. It contains enough parts to mount 2 modules. Please read the instructions thoroughly before proceeding.
- Page 4 SITRAN SITRANSS INSTRUCTIONS Step 1 Mounting the DIN-rail clips to the module Place the expansion module on a flat surface with the bottom surface facing up. The bottom surface can be identified as the surface closest to the locking tab slot on the modular connector. Expansion Module Example Peel the protective layer off of the adhesive tape on the bottom of one of the mounting clips.
- Page 5 SITRANS Firmly press down on clip for 10 seconds. Repeat this procedure on opposite side. Once clips are properly installed, the modules with clips mounted should look similar to one or both of the modules pictured to the right. While the adhesive is initially quite strong, this strength improves significantly over a period of approximately 12 hours.
- Page 6 SITRAN SITRANSS Step 2 Mounting the DIN-rail to your panel The modules are very light (approx. 1½ oz each). As such, the mounting hardware does not need to be very strong. We recommend two #10 pan head screw (shown to the right), but only because it best accommodates the slots DIN-rail.
- Page 7 SITRANS Step 3 Mounting Modules to DIN-rail To mount modules to DIN-rail, first locate the approximate position you would like to place the module on the DIN-rail, then hook hinge end of mounting clip to edge of DIN-rail as shown to the right. Then lower the opposite “latch end”...
