Start-up
Attention! Sensitive electrical components.
Possible consequence: The unit will be destroyed.
Protective measure: Do not connect the unit to a dimmable power supply.
Attention! The pump must never run dry.
Possible consequence: The pump will be destroyed.
Protective measure: Check the water level at regular intervals. Always place the unit below water level.
This is how to connect the power supply:
Switching on: Connect power plug to the socket. The unit switches on immediately when the power connection is
established.
Switching off: Disconnect the power plug.
Note: The pump of Aquamax Eco 3500, 5500, 8500 switches off after 10 attempts when the rotor is blocked or runs
dry. Remove the obstacle or „flood the pump". Following this, the unit can be restarted.
Aquamax 2000
Attention! The installed temperature monitor automatically turns the pump off, if it is overloaded. The pump
automatically switches on again once the motor has cooled down. Risk of accident!
Maintenance and cleaning
Attention! Dangerous electrical voltage.
Possible consequences: Death or severe injury.
Protective measures:
− Prior to reaching into the water, disconnect the power supply to all units used in the water.
− Disconnect the power plug prior to carrying out work on the unit.
Cleaning the unit
If necessary, clean the unit with clear water using a soft brush.
− Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions. These could attack the housing surface or impair the
function.
− In the event of stubborn furring (calcium deposits), a common household cleaner free from vinegar and chlorine can
be used. Subsequently, clean the pump thoroughly using clear water.
Aquamax Classic 2000 (L-P)
Should the capacity drop, clean the filter housing under running water using a soft brush.
Pump disassembly and cleaning: Screw off the stepped hose connector (7) . Press in the engagement hooks (10) on
both sides of the pump outlet (4) and open the strainer casing (11). Remove the pump (12). Unscrew the pump hous-
ing (18), pull out the impeller unit (17) and seal (16). Clean all parts under running water using a soft brush, check and,
if necessary, replace parts. Reassemble the pump (12) in the reverse order.
Note: Lead the power supply cable (19) of the pump (12) through the cable opening in the bottom strainer casing (39)
such that the cable will not be crushed when closing the filter housing.
Aquamax Eco 3500, 5500, 8500 (L-P)
Should the capacity drop, clean the filter housing under running water using a soft brush.
Pump disassembly and cleaning: Screw off the stepped hose adapter (25) including the union nut (26). Disengage the
clip (29), press in the engagement hooks (28) one after the other, then remove the strainer top casing (27). Remove
the pump (30). Undo the screws (41) and remove the pump housing (38) including the retaining ring (37), the seal (36)
and the impeller unit (35). Clean all parts under running water using a soft brush, check and, if necessary, replace
parts. Reassemble the pump (31) in the reverse order.
Note: Lead the power supply cable (19) of the pump (31) through the cable opening in the bottom strainer casing (40)
such that the cable will not be crushed when closing the filter housing.

Wear parts

The impeller unit is a wearing part and does not fall under the warranty.
