Adjustment
1. Connect CH-l of an oscilloscope to pin 5 (RF) of CN542
on the servo board and CH-2 to pin 2 (SWP) of CN542.
2. Turn on the power switch, insert alignment tape TY-
7252 @-9fJÉ-822-00), and put the set into the TEST
mode. Press the AMS button, then press the PLAY
( ) ) button.
3. Raise guide Tl so that the RF signal waveform is as
shown below.
Raise guide T2 and alien it with the lower edge of the
tape.
Lower guide Tl
so that the RF signal waveform is
normal.
Replace the alignment tape by DT-120R and check that
the tape is aligned with the lower edge of guide T3
at the beginning of it. If it is not, repeat Step 4.

Turn on the power switch, insert blank tape TY-308
(8-892-358-00), and put the set into the PLAY (> )
mode.
2.
Raise guide 52 and align it with the lower edge of the
tape.
Note: Check that no tape curl occurs at guide 52 in the
REW (}})
mode.
