The new MPL-1000 PLUS is designed to meet today's laundry chemical injection needs with economy and greater
flexibility in mind. Through advanced microprocessor technology, the MPL-1000 PLUS is one of Knight Equipment's
least expensive laundry injectors, yet has all of the required features to meet every type of washroom condition. The
MPL-1000 PLUS can run up to 6 pump outputs in any one of three different modes; SIGNAL, SEQUENCE, and
RELAY mode. L.E.D indicators let the user know whether they are programming in SIGNAL or SEQUENCE mode,
what is being programmed, the mode the MPL-1000 PLUS is running in, and which pump is being signaled. The
MPL-1000 PLUS has dual formula capability for light or heavy soil conditions for each pump, with separately
programmable delay times for each formula. Innovative use of delay times allows calibration to be a one-man job. All
programmed times are stored in a non-volatile memory which cannot be altered by voltage spikes or power outages.
All signal inputs have independent signal and common connections, allowing multi-washer connections to one circuit
board. The signal input circuitry will accept and verify a signal anywhere between 18 to 240 volts (AC or DC).
When connecting signal wires to the MPL-1000 PLUS, always check the schematic of the washmachine. If in doubt
about the installation, please contact your nearest authorized Knight representative or contact the machine
manufacturer at the number listed below.

VOLTAGE INFORMATION
Main input power voltages are determined by use of "jumpers" near the power transformer:
For 120v AC, jumpers are placed on JP17 and JP19 only.
For 240v AC, jumpers are placed on JP18 and "Spare Jumper" only.
Be sure that this voltage matches the intended main power voltage. The voltage selected by the jumpers MUST
MATCH the pump motor voltage and should NOT BE TOUCHED if the MPL-1000 PLUS is received as a new item.

  • Page 2 SIGNAL MODE OPERATION In signal mode operation, signals received for each pump activate programmed run and delay times for that pump. To select signal mode, move the MODE SELECT jumper located above the RELAY, SINGL, and SEQ. L.E.D.’s to the jumper terminals located above the SIGNL MODE L.E.D. (JP4). •...

(1) Depress and release the “MODE SELECT” button until “DELAY TIME” L.E.D. is lit. (2) Depress the UP button for 1 second and release. (3) Depress and release the PROGRAM/PRIME switch of the pump # to be programmed.

    (4) Adjust the programming for pump #6 for the amount of time that the flush manifold will flush with water AFTER chemical has been injected. The manifold will always flush with water WHILE chemical is being injected. (5) During operation, the flush manifold will flush each time chemical is injected into the machine. During flush, if the flow switch connected to the FLUSH terminals is not closed (or the terminals are not jumped), a “flush error”...

    (1) Using the “BLEACH DEFEAT” jumper located on the lower left corner of the circuit board, select the pump which is dispensing bleach. Only pumps 2, 3, or 4 can be used for bleach defeat. (2) Connect the black and white wires from the RSB-1000 to the connections marked “SWITCH CON/NO VOLTAGE - BLEACH DEFEAT”.
  • Page 7: Injector Installation

INJECTOR INSTALLATION (1) Remove the locking cover panel from the injector system using the key provided. (2) Mount the injector in a convenient location on a wall near the supply containers. This location is usually near the laundry machine; however, it can be mounted as a remote pumping system. It is recommended that the injector be mounted within 50 feet of the laundry machine.
