Instructions for Matsutec AIS Configuration

1. Requirements

a. Matsutec AIS device, model HA-102
b. Computer (OS Windows)
c. Power and data cable
d. Application software HA_CONFIG.exe

2. Procedure

2.1 Connect the Matsutec AIS device with the computer.
Connect AIS RS232 port directly to the DB9 of the computer or by an adapter of
RS232-to-USB to the USB port of the computer.
Note:
When with a USB adapter, please make sure to install the USB driver of the adapter
firstly.
2.2 Power on the AIS device.

  • Page 4 2.4 Select the correct com port that the AIS device is connected with. Note: When with a USB adapter, you can get the correct com port number from the com port property of the device manager. Use the default baud rate 38400bps.
  • Page 5 2.5 Click the [Connect] button on the right side to setup a connection between the application and the AIS device. It will return “Connect Device Success” and update the current static configuration of the AIS device.
  • Page 6 2.6 Edit the static data , make it of your own ship. Changed items will show in color BLUE. 2.7 Click the [Save Data to Device] button to program the AIS device. For model HA-102, it will return “Save Data Success” and update the current static configuration of the AIS device.
  • Page 8 2.8 Click the [Read Data From Device] button to get the current configuration. It will return “Read Data Success” and update the current static configuration of the AIS device.
