- Page 2 InstructIons to start the lamp Turn the switch to the on position. Warning: this lamp needs about 20 seconds warm up time when it is switched on. During this time, it will flicker. This is normal. Do not turn the switch rapidly on and off as this may damage the bulb and ballast.
