Equilibar EVR Series Installation Instructions

Vacuum precision back pressure regulator

EVR – Vacuum Series -
These instructions apply to all Equilibar model EVR regulators
with the 20 turn set point adjuster installed by the factory. The
EVR consists of a dome-loaded back pressure regulator (on
bottom) with a set-point regulator on top. The body is stamped
with an "I" for inlet which should be connected to the process
to be controlled. The "O" (outlet) is to be connected to lines
from the vacuum source (or pump).
A typical installation will have a schematic similar to that
shown at the right. (Note: The line to the 20 turn adjustment
comes integrated) You may wish to mount the 20 turn
adjustment in another location. Instrument grade plastic
tubing can be used to pipe the source vacuum for this change.

Installation Notes

Use a strainer to protect the inlet of the Equilibar if
debris is expected in your vacuum process.
Inlet and Outlet ports are stamped "I" and "O" as
shown.
Connect your vacuum pump or supply to the "O"
port.
Connect the "I" port to your process needing
pressure control.
Take precautions to prevent injury to personnel in the event
of a diaphragm failure or external leak. Sensitive fluid
controls can experience external or internal leaks.

Maintenance Notes

Maintain strainer or filter upstream of device
Annual inspection of diaphragm integrity is recommended, especially for applications where there
is strong or regular pulsing (i.e. reciprocating pump, etc.).

Trouble Shooting:

Problem
