AN ON SCREEN DISPLAY IS PROVIDED FOR CONVENIENT VISUAL CONFIRMATION OF
PRESENT TIME, COUNTER, CHANNEL AND OPERATION MODE.

A slight vibration of the mode display at the bottom
of
the picture is normal.
The letters of display may be in color. depending on the pictures on the screen and the type of TV connected.
During special effects playback or 2way
speed
search,
the
mode display may
not
be displayed.
If the TAPE REMAIN switch is
not
set to the appropriate position,
the
remaining time will
not
indicate correct
tape position.
If the TAPE REMAIN switch is switched after the time gauge is displayed, it may
not
indicate the
correct
tape
p o s i t i i and will flash.
The time gauge works by detecting contrd signal on recorded tape. It will therefore
not
function with tapes that
have not yet been recorded.
With
T l 2 0
cassette tapes in SP mode, one graduation of the
time
gauge indicates about

minutes.
During jogEshuttle mode, the mode display may
not
be displayed.

Displayed for a few seconds in any of the following
