1.
Install a standard 1/4" male quick release air connector (not included) to the
Air Inlet (3). First wrap the threaded portion of the 1/4" air connector with
pipe thread seal tape before installing it. Tighten securely.
2.
Attach a standard female quick connector (not included) to your 3/8" i.d. air
pressure source hose. Then attach the air hose to the Paint Dryer.
NOTE: Do not use an automatic in-line oiler, as oil will damage the paint finish on
your work piece. An in-line moisture trap is recommended.
3.
Set the air pressure regulator at 58 PSI.
WARNING: Do not exceed the maximum pressure of 174 PSI. Damage to your
tool, and possible personal injury may result.
4.
Check the air line and its connections for air leaks. Make note of these, and
repair them before using this tool.
NOTE: Turn off your air compressor and disconnect the air pressure hose before
cleaning or making any adjustments to this tool. Severe injury or property dam-
age may otherwise result.
CAUTION: During use, do not point this tool toward the floor or any area which
may have dirt, dust or debris. If blown into the air, such materials may damage the
paint on your work piece.
5.
When ready to operate, turn the Shut Off Valve (2) to the open position. Air
will begin to flow through the gun.
6.
Apply the air to the work piece at an angle, moving back and forth. Hold the
gun approximately 12 - 24" away from the workpiece during operation.
Carefully monitor the paint surface to judge its dryness, and to prevent any
damage to the paint because of air pressure.
WARNING: Never point this gun at any person or animal. During use, air is
ejected from the gun at high speed which may cause discomfort or injury.
7.
When the paint is sufficiently dry, turn off the gun by rotating the Shut Off
Valve (2) to the OFF position.
8.
Disconnect the Paint Dryer Gun from the air hose. Turn off the air
compressor, and put all tools away for safe keeping.
NOTE: Use of this tool may cause pitting in some silicone-based paints. Always
test your materials on a sample piece before beginning work.
WARNING: Never direct the air stream produced by this gun toward any fire.
