Service Information

Before you use a terminal, it must be configured to run your applications.
If you have a problem with running your terminal or using your equipment, contact
your facility's Technical or Systems Support. If there is a problem with the equipment,
they will contact the Symbol Support Center:
1-800-659-2240
Outside North America, contact your local Symbol representative.

Warranty

Symbol warrants that this product will be free from defects in materials and
workmanship, for a period of nine months from the date of shipment, provided that
the product remains unmodified and is operated under normal and proper conditions.
Damage due to shipping of the product to the customer is covered under this warranty.
Otherwise, this warranty does not cover damage due to external causes including
accident, misuse, neglect, problems with electrical power, tampering, servicing not
authorized by Symbol, failure to provide required preventive maintenance, and
problems caused by use of parts and components not supplied by Symbol. Preventive
maintenance activities and repair of display screens damaged after purchase of the SPT
1500 are not covered under this warranty.
This warranty applies to the original owner and does not cover any items that are one
or more of the following: software (except as specifically noted); external devices
(except as specifically noted); accessories or parts added to a Symbol system after the
system is shipped from Symbol; or accessories or parts that are not installed in a Symbol
factory.
"Wear Items and Accessories" which have a Symbol serial number will carry a 90-day
limited warranty; non-serialized items will carry a 30-day limited warranty.
To request warranty service, please call the Symbol Support Center in the USA and
Canada at 1-800-659-2240, within the warranty period. Outside North America,
contact your local Symbol representative within the warranty period. The products to
Symbol must be shipped in their original or equivalent packaging. Please prepay
shipping charges, and insure the shipment or accept the loss or damage during
shipment. Symbol will ship the repaired or replacement products to you freight-prepaid
in the continental USA or Canada. Shipment to other locations will be made freight-
collect.
