 This device must be used as an isolating
transformer. Observe all safety infor-
mation, instructions, diagrams and data
which you receive with the device.
If you do not observe the following
instructions, an electric shock, fire and/or
serious injuries may occur.
 Never use accessories which the
manufacturer did not intend or
recommend especially for this isolating
transformer.
Just because you can attach the accessory to
your isolating transformer does not guarantee
safe use.
 Do not use the isolating transformer near
flammable materials.
Sparks may ignite these materials.
 The mains voltage and the voltage
specifications on the rating plate must
correspond.
 Use the isolating transformer on a heat-
resistant base only.
During operation the device may heat up to
80 °C. Floor coverings which are not heat-
resistant may be damaged.
 Operate the isolating transformer only for
short periods up to 45 minutes.
The device may overheat and be damaged
if operated for a prolonged period.
 If the external power cord of this
transformer is damaged, it must be
replaced with a special cable or a special
assembly which can be purchased from
the manufacturer or his customer service.
 Connect only one end consumer to the
device.
The connection of several consumers may
lead to a loss of the protective function.

Before switching on the isolating
transformer
 Unpack the isolating transformer and check
that no parts are missing or have been
damaged during transit.
Connecting the isolating
transformer
 Insert the plug of the electric power tool into
the contour plug of the transformer.
 Then insert the connection cable of the
transformer into the socket.

Overload protection
 If an extremely brief overload occurs,
the overload protection prevents damage
by automatically switching the device off.
 The protective device of the transformer can
be reset after a short-circuit or an overload.
To do this, press switch 1.
