CAUTION
-Thermometer may be hot after use, do not touch without protecting hands.
-DO NOT leave thermometer in the oven or grill during cooking, damage to the plastic pieces will occur.
GENERAL OPERATION
1. Power On/Off: Press MEAT button to turn power on, hold 2 seconds to turn power off. The fork will
auto turn off 10 minutes to save power. (previous settings will be stored).
2. Backlight: Press either button on thermometer to activate backlight for 10 seconds.
3. To Select Meat Type and Taste Level:
a. Select meat type by pressing MEAT button. Each press will change display in the following
sequence:
b. Select the doneness of meat by pressing TASTE button, which is indicated by triangular
pointer on LCD. Each press will change taste in the following sequence:
Note: Based on pre-set programming guidelines, some taste levels will not be available for each type of
MEAT selection.
Below are preset temperatures.

  • Page 2 TO MEASURE TEMPERATURE OF MEAT 1. Insert tines halfway into thickest part of meat (at least 1/2). 2. Allow approximately 15-20 seconds for probe to obtain accurate temperature reading. 3. The proper pointer of taste level will turn on and flash to indicate doneness of meat. As meat temperature rises up to next higher level, pointer of that level will also turn on and keep flashing.
