2-2-3. HOW TO CHECK THE MECHANISM
MODE
POSITION
You can tell which mode the mechanism
is currently in by
The edge of the
looking at the codes and marking-lines
on the crescent

chassis. The edge
of the crescent mounting
is used as the reference line, as
shown in Fig.2-2-2,
and the marking-lines
and symbols
indicating
the mechanism
modes
are displayed
on the
crescent
slide,
which
slides
against
the edge
of the
crescent mounting. The mechanism
mode is read off from
the marking-line
on the slide crescent which
is aligned
with the reference-line
on the crescent mounting.
Example:
In Fig.2-2-2,
marking-line
6 is aligned with the
reference-line
on the crescent mounting,
so the mechanism
is seen to be in FF/REW mods.
