Light indicators The following figure shows the front panel of your Innbox G31 home gateway. Front panel light indicators On - The device is powered on and in operation. Power Green Off - The device is powered off or the power supply is defected.
Back panel The following figure shows the rear panel of your Innbox G31 series home gateway. Rear panel connectors GPON Optical interface for connection to the outside world. PHONE Port for connecting analog phone. LAN2...LAN1 Two Ethernet ports for connecting the data (PC) or video devices (STB).
Powering on Innbox G31 gateway You require: • The home gateway unit • The AC power adapter 1. Take the home gateway and remove the protective cap that closes the GPON optical port. 2. Connect the GPON optical connector to the GPON port on the device.
Connecting the PC You require: • The home gateway unit • Ethernet RJ-45 UTP cable 1. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable to one of the two ports on the home gateway as shown in the picture (LAN 1 or/and 2). Note: The ports can be pre-configured for specific service - data (PC) or video (TV).
Connecting the STB You require: • The home gateway unit • Ethernet RJ-45 UTP cable • STB unit 1. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable to one of the two ports on the home gateway as shown in the picture (LAN 1 or/and 2). 3.
Starting the internet session Once you have powered on your home gateway and connected the PC to the home gateway, you are ready to use the internet. The internet connection is established automatically. Note: Before you start using the internet, make sure that you have your PC set up to obtain the IP address automatically.
1. Start an internet browser on your PC. 2. Type in the IP address http://192.168.1.1 and enter your credentials (username and password). 3. Enjoy the vast configuration options your new Innbox device is offering.
