Using the oil checker

NOTE
Before using the oil checker, check that the air conditioning is
working properly.
5.1
Fitting the oil checker
➤ Install the red high-pressure hose on the high-pressure side of the oil
checker (red).
➤ Install the blue low-pressure hose to the low-pressure side of the oil
checker (blue).
➤ Install the quick service coupling for the high-pressure connection to the
high-pressure hose (red).
➤ Install the quick service coupling for the low-pressure connection to the
low-pressure hose (blue).
➤ Only for the oil checker for air conditioning systems with R-1234yf:
Use the supplied adapters to connect the couplings with the hoses.
5.2
Connecting the oil checker
➤ Check all connections of the oil checker for leaks.
➤ Evacuate the oil checker before the first use and after each opening
through the service connection (fig. 2 7, page 3).
➤ Close the low-pressure shut-off valve (fig. 2 1, page 3) and high-pres-
sure shut-off valve (fig. 2 5, page 3).
➤ Connect the high-pressure quick coupling (fig. 1 5, page 3) with the
high-pressure connection of the air conditioner.
