Praca na niestandardowych materiałach jest możliwa, ale wymaga indywidualnego doboru parametrów roboczych oraz folii do złoceń.

Pracę urządzenia kontroluje sterownik mikroprocesorowy z wyświetlaczem LCD. Na grzałkę można założyć ramkę z matrycą lub czcionkami tworzącymi tłoczony napis. Ograniczniki umożliwiają pozycjonowanie okładki względem centralnego punktu ramki.

Zakres możliwych ustawień: 0 – 9 sekundy co 0,5 sekundy. W czasie cyklu tłoczenia wyświe- tlany jest odmierzany czas od wartości ustawionej do zera.

    OPUS MasterPress 02 User guide • SAFETY RULES • Before working with the device for the first time, read the safety rules, manufacturer recommendations and the user manual. Keep the user manual at hand to refer to it in case of any doubts regarding the operation of the device.

    • The lever should be held from above as shown in the drawing below. 2 GENERAL The MasterPress 02 gilding press is used to perform gilding / stampings, mainly on paper and cardboard covers, as well as those covered with paper covering mats.

    • 3 TRANSPORT AND STORAGE MasterPress 02 is an electric device adapted to operate in an office environment. The device, as well as its packaging, should not be exposed to moisture (e.g. rain). • In the event of moisture accumulation or flooding of the machine, in order to avoid the risk of electric shock, it is necessary to hand the device over for servicing.

    Opus MasterPress 02 is built on the basis of a manual eccentric press with a heater enabling gilding. The device operation is controlled by a microprocessor controller with an LCD display. A frame with a matrix or with types that form an inscription may be mounted on the heater.

  • Page 32 Changing a setting takes place after the edit mode has been activated by briefly pressing the button of the given parameter. Subsequent brief pressing (within 2 secs) of the increase button [ ] or the decrease button [ ] changes the parameter value in minimum steps.
  • Page 33 OPUS MasterPress 02 User guide • Timer – set gilding time, that is time after which the device indicates finished gilding/stamping cycle (two beeps). Available range: 0 – 9 secs in 0.5 sec. steps. During the stamping cycle the time is counted down from the set value to zero. End of countdown is indicated by two beeps and pulsating “0”...
  • Page 34 Count – counter of gildings/stampings made since the device has been switched on. The counter counts only complete gilding/stamping cycles (raising of the lever before the matrix moves to the stamping position will not trigger the counter). The counter may operate in the increment mode or decrement mode. In the increment mode the counter after each stamping cycle increases its value, in the decrement mode it decreases its value.

    OPUS MasterPress 02 User guide • 7 PREPARATION OF TYPES AND MATRIXES FOR GILDING Types Types are mounted in the O.Master Frame MP 02 indirectly – using the O.Frame GP5 / MP 02 frames adequate for the types used. Contact your device supplier for an offer of frames for other combinations of type sizes.

    Matrixes O.Matrix GP5 / MP 02 matrixes, depending on their size, are either mounted directly in an O.Master Frame MP 02, or indirectly using the O.Frame GP 5 / MP 02 frames. O.Matrix MP01/MP02/MPEMD/GP5 6 mm thick matrixes have holes for inserting screws for attaching to an O.Screw Matrix Base MP 02, and the whole set is placed in an O.Master Frame MP 02.
  • Page 37  The width of the reel with the foil should not exceed 230 mm. Use a foil supplied by OPUS. Other foils may not provide satisfying results or even make  gilding impossible. Ask your supplier about the available types of foil.
  • Page 38 If the lever is not raised within 2 seconds, a “lift lever up” message is displayed (across the whole display). Note If the lever is lowered too fast before the matrix attains the ready position (three beeps), gilding will not be effected or it will be done improperly. NOTE: During stamping operation the lever may recoil with great force! Always hold the lever (from above) until stamping is finished! 11.
