Functional check before the test drive
‡ Braking system
‡ Steering
‡ Tyres and wheels
‡ Lever and fittings
‡ Lights (daytime running lights, low and dipped headlights, indicators, tail lights, stop
lights and hazard warning lights)
‡ Speedometer function (all indicator lights and displays)
‡ Locks (ignition, steering lock and seat lock)
‡ Clock setting (see operating instructions)
‡ Battery voltage (charged, vehicle switched off: ~13.1V; vehicle idling: ~13.5V)
ACHTUNG:
The above components must function properly before the test drive is carried out.
Test ride
•
Start the vehicle and let it idle for about three minutes.
•
Check the engine for leaks in the meanwhile.
•
Pay attention to unusual noises.
•
After warm-up phase, do a test drive for about 3-5 km.
During test drive control of:
‡ Startup behavior
‡ Idle speed
‡ Engine noise during normal driving and at approx. 75% throttle position
‡ Driving behaviour when cornering
‡ Vibrations (of chassis, wheels and engine)
‡ Brake performance
‡ Suspension
