Maintenance
Clea ring d isc
When a dis c beco mes d irty cle an it with a c leanin g cloth .
Wipe the di sc from the c enter out.
Clea ning t he dis c lens
After prolon ged u se, dir t or du st may accum ulate at the lens. To ens ure go od pla yback quality, clea n the d isc wit h Philips CD lens
Clea ner or any c omme rcially availa ble cle aner. Follow the in structi ons su pplied with c leaner.
Clea ning t he hea ds an d the Tape Parts
To en sure g ood p laybac k qual ity, cle an the heads A ,th e caps tan B ,
and p ressu re rolle r C a fter ev ery 50 hours of tap e operation. Used
a cot ton sw ab slig htly m oisten ed wit h clea ning flu id or a lcoho l.
You c an als o clea n the h eads by play ing a c leani ng tape once .
Troubleshooting
If you suspect something is wrong, immediately switch power off. Immediately stop using it and call the store where you purchased it.
Never try to repair the unit yourself because it is dangerous to do so.
General
No power or
no sound
Disc
Disc is inside but
no sound.
Disc sound skips,
tone quality is low.
Sound skips due
to vibration.
Car's engine switch is not on.
Turn your car's key to ACC or ON.
Cable is not correctly connected.
Check connection.
Fuse is burnt.
Replace fuse.
Check volume or mute on / off.
If the above solutions cannot help,
Press the RESET button.
Disc is upside down.
Place disc in the correct direction,
and the label side up.
Disc is dirty or damaged
Clean disc or change another disc.
Disc is dirty or damaged.
Clean CD or change another CD.

Mounting angle is over 30
.
Adjust mounting angle to less than 30 .
Unstable mounting.
Mount the unit securely with the
mounting parts.

Error Display Messages
When video file

Station is too far, or signals are too weak.
Select other stations of higher signal level.
Battery cable is not correctly connected.
Connect the battery cable to the
terminal that is always live.
Disc is dirty, damaged or upside down.
Press
to eject the disc.
File read error or file type not supported.
Press SRC to exit. Then press SRC to
play disc again.
