    The Companion 2 Driver System (Figure 1-3) is a multi-component electro- mechanical unit designed to provide pneumatic power to the implanted 50cc or 70cc TAH-t. The Companion 2 Driver System operates and monitors the 50cc or 70cc TAH-t throughout the implantation, surgical recovery phase and ambulatory phase of patient support.
