I/M Readiness

I/M Readiness is used to check the operations of Emissions
System in OBD II compliant vehicles� Check I/M Readiness prior
to having a vehicle inspected for a State Emissions Test�
I/M Readiness status with the result of "No" does not necessarily indicate that the vehicle
has failed the emissions test� See the State's Emission Test regulations for details�

From the Main Menu, scroll until
"3� 1/M" is displayed� Select it
by pressing ENTER/Exit�

Interpreting data:

All monitors supported on the vehicle
YES
have completed their diagnostic
testing and the MIL light is not on�
At least one monitor supported
on the vehicle has not completed
NO
its diagnostic testing and/or the
"Check Engine" (MIL) light is on�
Indicates a monitor being checked
READY
has completed its diagnostic testing�
Not Ready indicates a monitor
NOT
being checked has not completed
RDY
its diagnostic testing�
The Monitor is not supported
N/A
on the vehicle�
A flashing right arrow indicates
additional information is
available on the next screen�
A flashing left arrow indicates
additional information is available
on the previous screen�
Note: A Drive Cycle will need to
be completed before performing an
I/M Readiness test if the battery has been
disconnected or DTCs have been erased�
