START
~No powerto dryer.Checkfusesandcircuitbreakersto makesure dryeris
gettingcurrent.Automaticelectric. d ryersmayuse two.
~Controlsimproperlyset. Makesuretimer is set and PUSH TOSTART buttonis
pressed.
~ Dryerdooris open.Makesuredryerdoor is securelyclosed.Dryerwill notrun
withdooropen.
If'dryer still doesnot operate, call for service.
DRYERMAKES ~Temporarystart-upsound.Dryer drumis mountedon four specially
"THUMPING"
compounded rubberwheels.Afterextendedstorageand exposureto extreme
NOISE
temperatures,a thumpingnoisemayoccurwhen dryeris first started.This will
soondisappear.

~Controlsimproperlyset. Checkall controlsto makesure theyare correctlyset

@ Blownfusesor trippedcircuitbreakers.Checkhouseholdfusesor circuit
breakers.Mostelectricdryersuse two.It it possiblefor oneto be blownor
tripped,and thedryer stilltumblewithoutheat.
@ Impropersorting.Do notmixheavy,hard-to-dryitemswith lightweight a rticles.
@ Toomanyitemsin dryer. Dry onlyonewasherload at a time. Do notcombine
loads.
@ Toofewitemsin dryer.If dryingonlyonearticle, add twomore similararticles,
evenif dry,to insurepropertumbling.
~ 120-volt o peration.If yourdryeris operatingon 120-volt c ircuit,longerdrying
timescouldbe normal.The dryingon thiscircuittakesaboutthreetimesas long
as on a 240-voltcircuit.
