How to reduce the possibility of a
fire hazard, if your dryer is not
exhausted to the outside:
A clothesdryerproduces
combustiblelint. Whenthe dryer
is notexhaustedto the outside,this
lint is moreapt to accumulatein
and nearthe dryer,whichcould
createa fire hazard.
It is imperativeto keepthe laundry
area (aroundthe washerand
dryer)cleanand free fromthe
accumulationof lint, paper,rags,
etc. Cleanthis area regularly.
Also inspectthe dryer'sblower
compartmentat leastoncea year
and removeaccumulatedlintas
follows :
1. Unplug
the dryer.
2.
Removethe accesspanel.
3. Cleanout any lintthat mayhave
accumulated.Wipeor vacuum,
beingcarefulnot to disturbany
electrical o r mechanical c onnections.

Removetwo Phillips-head screwsal
bottomofpanel.
Tipbottomofpanel out untilclips
slip out. Toreplace,slip top of
pcmeiup untilclipsare secured.
Pressbottomofpanel in and
replacescrews.
