Messages
Meaning
• The file cannot be read.
• The file is not normal.
The built-in flash memory
was formatted on a
computer.
The player cannot be
operated because the
HOLD switch is set to the
HOLD position.
The battery is low.
There is a problem with
the built-in flash memory.
There are no audio files in
the built-in flash memory.
The player is
disconnected from the
computer while
transferring audio files.
Remedy
Transfer the normal audio
file back to the computer
and then format the
player. For details, refer to
"To delete abnormal data
from the built-in flash
memory" (  page 66).
Format the player using
the "Format" menu. For
details, refer to "To delete
abnormal data from the
built-in flash memory"
(  page 66).
To operate the player,
slide the HOLD switch to
the opposite (normal)
position (  page 9).
You must charge the
battery (  page 50).
Format the player using

message still appears,
consult your nearest Sony
dealer.
If there are no audio files
in the built-in flash
memory, use SonicStage
to transfer audio files.
