The spray water supplied to the desuperheater should be of high quality and free from any impurities or suspended solid
particles as this could damage the internal parts of the desuperheater.
It is advisable to have a strainer at the inlet of the water line. Also care should be taken so that the spray water
pressure/temperature should be same as indicated in the data sheet.
As in this case of pipe work, use gasketing and bolting in accordance with the relevant piping code. Flush out the water line
before connecting the Desuperheater mounting flange.
