    6. Safety instructions Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.     b) (Rechargeable) batteries • Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the (rechargeable) batteries. • (Rechargeable) batteries should be removed from the device if it is not used for a long period of time to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged (rechargeable) batteries might cause acid burns when in contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves to handle corrupted...

    8. Inserting/changing the batteries • Remove the battery compartment cover from the back. • Insert 2 AAA batteries, observing correct polarity. Observe polarity as indicated inside the battery compartment. As soon as the batteries are inserted, all display segments will appear briefly. The icon for wireless transmission flashes once per minute.

    9. Start-up a) Selecting the channel If you wish to use the product as an additional sensor for a weather station, all sensors must be set to a different channel. You must follow the operating instructions of the weather station. If you use the product as a stand-alone device, you need not change the channel.

    • Briefly press the MIN/MAX/- button to view the current measured values. c) Automatically delete the MIN/MAX values • To automatically delete the registered minimum and maximum values every day, press and hold the SET button for approx. 3 seconds until the 24hrs indicator appears. If you enable this feature at noon, for example, the values will be automatically deleted every day at noon.

    12. Calibration Perform a calibration only if you have another reliable and calibrated measuring device at hand. Do not use measured data from the internet, radio, television or newspaper, since they may not necessarily match the current conditions for your location. We recommend using a mercury or alcohol thermometer as a reference.

    13. Positioning • You can use a nail or screw to hang the product on the wall. • You can also set up the product on a flat, stable surface. To do this, fold out the stand.

    14. Care and cleaning Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could damage the casing or cause the product to malfunction. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product. 15.
