You can set the VE2812R to either bypass serial data or to receive RS-232 commands. By default, the VE2812R is set to bypass serial data. To set the unit to receive RS-232 commands, press the Input Switch pushbutton for 5 seconds. -

Appendix Safety Instructions General This product is for indoor use only. Read all of these instructions. Save them for future reference. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the device. Do not place the device on any unstable surface (cart, stand, table, etc.).
