3. Intended use The weather station displays the different measured values e.g. the inside/outside temperature, the inside/outside humidity, air pressure, the quantity of rain, the wind speed and wind direction. The measured data of the outdoor sensors are transmitted by radio wirelessly to the weather station. By means of an internal air pressure sensor and the recording of the changes in air pressure, the weather station then calculates a weather forecast for the next 24 –...

11. Inserting/changing batteries First insert the batteries in the wind sensor, rain sensor and outdoor sensor. After that insert the batteries in the weather station. Otherwise the data will not be transmitted correctly. a) Wind sensor • Remove the battery compartment cover from the underside. •...
Page 15
b) Rain sensor • Turn the collection container (16) in an anticlockwise direction and remove it. • Remove the battery compartment lid. • Insert 4 AAA batteries and heed correct polarity. Heed correct polarity as indicated in the battery compartment. Above the water rocker a red light flashes inside the housing, which signals that the rain sensor is switched on.
Page 16
c) External sensor • Loosen the screw on the back side with a Phillips screwdriver and remove the battery compartment cover. • Before you insert the batteries, set the required channel and the temperature unit (Celsius or Fahrenheit) with the DIP-switches, that are located in the battery compartment.

You can also supply the weather station with power via the power adapter included in the scope of supply. First connect the DC connector with the power adapter socket (3). Then connect the mains plug with a common household power outlet. Even if batteries are already inserted, the weather station is still supplied via the power supply adapter;...

• The range between the sensors and the weather station in the open air (with direct visual contact between transmitter/receiver) is up to 100 m. However the actual achievable range is less, as there are walls, furniture, windows or plants between the sensors and the weather station.

• You can mount the assembly foot on a mast. To do this use the 4 large bolts with nuts and the fixing plate. Alternatively you can mount the assembly foot directly on a wall with the 4 screws. c) Rain sensor • For the horizontal alignment there is a small spirit level on the top side. Install the rain sensor, so that the small air bubble in the spirit level is situated in the middle of the circular marking.

• Alternatively you can mount the rain sensor directly on a wall with the 4 screws. • After the installation, place the filter in the collection container. d) External sensor • Install the outdoor sensor in an area that is in shadow the whole day, e.g. on a wall facing North. Direct sunlight and heat radiated from objects falsifies the temperature measurement.

This concerns the negative rate of change of air pressure, that indicates a storm. The lower the set value, the higher is the sensitivity for changes in the weather forecast. Locations, at which the air pressure changes constantly require the setting of a higher value. Standard setting: 4 •...
d) Channel selection • If you use multiple outdoor sensors (max. 8), press the button CHANNEL/+, to switch between the channels. • If you select the circular arrow, the data of all outdoor sensors are displayed cyclically at intervals of 5 seconds. e) Sensor search mode •...
g) Display and reset Min./Max. values If you use multiple outdoor sensors, the values of all channels are reset. • In normal display mode, briefly press the button ALARM (5). The indicator MAX appears on the display. • Press the button HISTORY/- again, to display the maximum values for precipitation (1h, 24h, Week, Month) and air pressure (absolute, relative).
16. Calibration The values can only be adapted on the weather station. On the display of the outdoor sensor, uncalibrated measured values continue to be displayed. The calibration is optional and only advisable, when you have a calibrated and trustworthy reference meter available.
17. Alarm mode a) General • The weather station has the following alarm modes: Alarm clock, temperature and humidity (indoors and channel CH1), felt temperature and dew point (channel CH1), wind speed, gust of wind, precipitation (1h and 24h), air pressure (absolute and relative).
• The following symbols can be displayed: Symbol Condition Description The pressure rises. The previous Sunny condition was slightly cloudy. On a sunny day between 19:00 pm and 7:00 am the stars and the moon Star-bright are displayed instead of the sun symbol.
Full moon 20. Troubleshooting Problem Solution Initiate the signal search, see Chapter 15 e). Reduce the distance between weather station and the sensor concerned. Only lines appear on the weather station instead of the Maintain a minimum distance of 3 m. measured values.
The range can sometimes be reduced considerably by: • Walls, reinforced concrete ceilings, drywalls with metal support constructions • Coated/metalized insulating glass panes • Proximity to metallic & conducting objects (e.g. heating radiators) • Close proximity to human bodies • Other devices on the same frequency (e.g. wireless headphones, wireless loudspeakers) •...
