SECTION 7: POWER TRAIN

ENGINE REMOVAL

1. Disconnect battery to prevent accidental shock and
chock wheels for safety.
2. For ease of access, remove the muffler. See muffler
removal on page 48.
3. Disconnect the fuel line to the engine at the fuel filter
and cap off.
4. Disconnect the main wiring harness from the engine,
the starter power cable and the common ground.

NOTE: There are differences in mountings for both
the Honda and the Briggs & Stratton engines.

very based on engine type.
5. Disconnect the engine oil pressure switch from the
engine.

6. Loosen and disconnect the throttle cable and the
choke cable from the engine.
