operates as back-up protection for faults occur-

With above switch settings the output relays of
SPAJ 131 C have the following functions:

C (80-81)
D (77-78)
E (70-71-72)
between the inverse time characteristics has
been explained in example 1.
On starting the I>> stage blocks the high-set
stage of the overcurrent relay.
