• Set the Xcell 350V EC BP in the set-up position by pressing
time.
• In the display, 'inr appears to indicate the Xcell 350V EC BP is in the set-up position. The bypass
valve and the pre-heater valve remain closed at all times. After 30 min., the Xcell 350V EC BP exits the
set-up position automatically
• Close the windows and exterior doors.
• Close the interior doors and check the presence of constructional overflow provisions (min. 12cm² per
l/s).
• Make sure the bypass is closed.
• Check whether both fans work at all three speeds.
• Switch the Xcell 350V EC BP to high speed.
• A: Put all valves in position and adjust them according to the settings supplied or as suggested in the
model dwelling; or
B: If no such data is known, put the valves in position and open them as far as possible. Measure the
air volumes, starting with the intake air and then the exhaust air
If the measured air volumes deviate by more than 10% above or below the nominal air volumes and
most of the deviations are above, make adjustments to ensure that all the deviations are above, If the
majority of the deviations are minus, ensure that all deviations are minus. Also make sure that an
intake valve and an exhaust valve are kept completely open.
• The fan setting can now be adjusted on the display. Select the lowest possible setting in order to
conserve energy, and spread usage across the three settings (high, medium and low), in accordance
with the above graph. The fan settings can be adjusted using menu P3.
• If the current air-volume settings still deviate excessively, extra adjustments can be made to the
valves.
• Check the entire installation again once all valve positions have been set.
• Switch the Xcell 350V EC BP to position 2.

5.6 Maintenance

Inspect the exchanger and the fans once every four years.
• Isolate the fan from the electricity supply.
• Remove the front cover (A)
• Remove the filters (B)
• Loosen the front seal cover by removing the screws (C).
When reassembling the front seal cover, the lower section of the seal must first be inserted behind the
raised edge to ensure a good seal.
• For the right-hand version, remove the bypass duct
• Pull on strap (E) to remove the heat exchanger (F) and leakage tray (G).
Remove the heat exchanger from the leakage tray (G).
Take note: the exchanger may contain water residues!
• Clean the exchanger if necessary. To do so, dip the entire exchanger a few times into warm water
(max. 40°C) containing a non-aggressive detergent solution. Now rinse the exchanger with clean, warm
tap water (max. 40°C). Hold the exchanger with both hands using the green side surfaces and shake
out any excess water.
