You know the drill. The purpose of the following safety symbols is to attract your attention to possible dangers. We don’t want any of our beloved WEN customers accidentally injuring themselves. The safety symbols and the explanations with them deserve your careful attention and understanding. The safety warnings do not by them- selves eliminate any danger. - Page 4 GENERAL SAFETY RULES Safety is a combination of common sense, staying alert, knowing how your item works, and not doing dumb stuff on purpose. SAVE THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS. WARNING: To avoid mistakes and serious injury, do not plug in your tool until the following steps have been read and understood.

MAINTAIN TOOLS PROPERLY. ALWAYS keep tools clean and in good working order. Follow instruc- tions for lubricating and changing accessories.

Take it to a qualified service technician before attempting to use. 11. Do not disassemble the charger or the battery pack. Take these to a qualified service technician when service or repairs are required.

To install bits, place the reversing switch in the OFF position and unplug the battery from the tool. Rotate the chuck’s body counterclockwise to open the chuck jaws to a point where the opening is slightly larger than the desired bit size.
