NeuraLabel Printing Solutions Loading Media onto the NoTouch IMPORTANT: The NoTouch unit must be turned OFF whenever you are loading media. The NoTouch uses gesture sensors to control the turning motors. When properly webbed, these motors are actuated by media movement. However, other items may actuate the motors, such as a waving hand, a stray cable, or a piece of paper.

  • Page 11 NeuraLabel Printing Solutions STEP 4. Once the flanges are in place and secure, load the media into the printer guides. STEP 5. Check the alignment of the entire system. The entire system, including the Unwinder, 300x Printer, and Rewinder, should be aligned so that the printed media will be straight.

There are multiple configurations of the NeuraLabel 300x printer; the NoTouch Roll System works with the NeuraLabel 300x Standard and the NeuraLabel 300x CP. For each of these systems the loading and behavior of the NoTouch is identical. The loading of the printer itself is different for each system.

Rewinder Sensor is triggered. This restarts the Rewinder, and the media is automatically rolled. Note that this is the only time a user will need to manually start the 300x NoTouch System. This manual start is necessary so that the user can comfortably web up the media.

Printing with a Webbed System With the 300x NoTouch System, you can print on a pre-webbed system, meaning the media is already completely through the printer and attached to the rewinder. This allows you to stop printing at any time and at any place in the media roll and resume printing whenever ready.

Media Width: 1.5” to 8.5” for most media IMPORTANT: For roll width of 3” or less, the 300x Standard Printer requires a special snap-in kit. Contact NeuraLabel for information about the Narrow Media Kit. Remember that 8.5” rolls use the fixed rear flange and one adjustable flange.
  • Page 18: Notouch Rewinder Sensor Calibration

300x NoTouch User Guide NoTouch Rewinder Sensor Calibration The NoTouch Roll System has a sensor that controls the speed of its rewinder roller. This sensor must be calibrated for the NoTouch to maintain optimal performance. Because the calibration values are stored in the NoTouch internal memory, each sensor must be calibrated with its paired NoTouch system.
  • Page 19: Notouch Troubleshooting

IMPORTANT: REWINDER SENSORS ARE FACTORY CALIBRATED. THIS CALIBRATION IS STORED IN ONBOARD MEMORY ON THE NOTOUCH TOWER. DO NOT SWAP SENSORS IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE NOTOUCH UNITS. If a sensor recalibration is needed, contact NeuraLabel support for assistance. • Slow down the printing.
  • Page 20: Unwinder Troubleshooting

300x NoTouch User Guide Unwinder Troubleshooting The NoTouch Unwinder does not seem to be keeping up or performance is not satisfactory. • Check the Media Roll. Some media rolls are “sticky” so that the media sticks to itself as it unrolls. Watch for this problem.
