    When using a new Sony LR6 (size AA) alkaline dry battery (produced in Japan). Measured in accordance with the JEITA (Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association) standard. The numbers of tracks that can be transferred differs according to the computer’s operating environment.

    Listening to the radio You can listen to the FM broadcast through the built-in digital tuner in the remote control. With the USA model, you can also listen to TV and weather broadcasts. Controls on the player cannot be used to operate the tuner. Turn on the radio.

    Explanations About the DSP TYPE-S for ATRAC/ATRAC3 This player supports playback with the DSP TYPE-S specification for high-level Sony MiniDisc decks equipped with digital signal processors (DSP). This specification allows tracks recorded in MDLP mode to be played back with high quality sound.
