42PFL5405H/12 The TV won't turn on! I changed the batteries in the remote control -> no effect. I opened the back cover of the TV and changed the fuse - T3.15AH250VP -> when I turned on the TV from the back, the fuse blew immediately. Is there some kind of fault in the power supply and are there repair instructions and spare parts somewhere? I can solder. The new power supply cost somewhere around 55€ and the TV is worth 5€. ;0)

Common power supply issues for the Philips 32PFL5405H/05 TV include:
1. The TV does not switch on – this may be due to the power cable not being securely connected or the power switch at the bottom/back of the TV being off. 2. The standby light blinks red – this may require disconnecting the power cable, waiting for one minute, and reconnecting it. 3. Constant rebooting – this can be caused by internal problems, such as issues with the DDR memory or bootscript reading from the PNX8550 processor. 4. Error 16 (12V) – a power supply issue leading to protection mode (LAYER 1 error =3).
The manual mentions reboot diagnostics using a ComPair interface and Hyperterminal for fault finding, suggesting that repair instructions are available for technical troubleshooting.
